We did it at a trot...

Let us pause to remember the raspberry scones, corn dogs, lemonade, cotton candy and elephant ears that so unselfishly gave their delicious lives today, so that we might have fun at the Puyallup Fair. May God have mercy on our arteries.

Nate's first day of Kindergarten

Posted by Picasa

It's been a long time since I last posted, I guess I've been screwing around with Facebook too much. Anyway, today was Nathan's first day of Kindergarten. He's in class with a bunch of his neighborhood buddies.

No tearful exchange at the bus stop, no "I'll miss you Mom and Dad". He practically dove head first into the bus. In fact, I'm not even 100% sure he even waited for the big yellow bastard to stop or for the accordion doors to open. A good thing I suppose. I guess it means he's ready, well adjusted and not experiencing any anxiety about this new phase of his life. Leave the anxiety to us buddy, you enjoy your day!

In the afternoon the parents walk the kids home, sounds like he had fun. It's good to have familiar faces from the 'hood in his class.
