Holy blog neglect!

I blame Facebook for the lack of updates on our blog, but...if you're following stuff here better late than never, yes? Plus, you can always "friend" Shannon or I on the worlds favorite time waster.

Anyway, Delta screwed me out of a recent dudes trip to the midwest. Actually, I chose hangin' with my boy for "Field Day with Fathers" at his school over making my scheduled flight. I knew I was rolling the dice, given the chance again...I'd make the same choice.

So, since I already had the vacation days lined up...spent them with the fam. Hanging at home, playing legos and hiking at Denny Creek.

Good times.

Oh, and you can read about some recent racing escapades here.

Ballerina Ava!

It's been a long time, but I thought Id share some photos from Ava's first Ballet class. She's a natural and really seems to love it. We just got back and she won't take off her little outfit or slippers.

The NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill is in the books

I crewed (tire changer) for a Mustang Challenge team (TC Motorsports) at the 25 Hours of Thunderhill last weekend.

The NASA 25 Hours of Thunderhill is the longest and most difficult endurance race in the United States. Advertised by NASA, the National Auto Sport Association, as 'the most severe endurance race on the planet'. Weather can and has wreaked havoc on the racing conditions, as it did this year (fog). The large fields, nonstop action and prestige of the event attract top teams and drivers from across the country to compete in this race. Cars are separated into six different classes by potential, we were in the unlimited ES class.

We had a great car and team, now it's all over but the ibuprofen. I had a amazing time. Working SO hard has never been SO fun. We have a great crew, it's amazing the amount of adversity this team can overcome while still laughing, smiling and having a blast. I mean, a blown motor on the 2nd lap and we just swap one from another car and keep going....SERIOUSLY!?!?!?

The official team blog is here.

You can also check out some GREAT photos of the event and team by Curtis Creager.
